Care
Warm water, a drop of soap and a soft brush behind the stones brings the light straight back. Dry it before it goes away.
Rose gold marquise frames run around the band like leaves on a vine, each one holding a diamond, each edge finished with milgrain: the tiny beaded border that old jewellers used to soften a line. Against the white gold shank the rose reads warm and almost pink, and the whole ring stays narrow enough to stack.
Solid 14K, a fifth of a carat of natural diamond, sizes three to nine. It looks like something inherited, which is the highest compliment a new ring can be paid.
